AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 179 of 1956. CRANES AND OTHER LIFTING MACHINES (REGISTER OF EXAMINATIONS) REGULATIONS, 1956. I, WILLIAM NORTON, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in pursuance of subsection
(2)of section 35 of the Factories Act, 1955 (No. 10 of 1955), hereby make the following regulations : 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Cranes and other Lifting Machines (Register of Examinations) Regulations, 1956.
(2)These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1956. 2. The register required by subsection
(2)of section 35 of the Factories Act, 1955 (No. 10 of 1955), to be kept with respect to the examination of cranes and other lifting machines shall contain the following particulars :— (
- a)name of occupier of factory ; (
- b)address of factory ; (
- c)distinguishing number or mark (if any) and description sufficient to identify the crane or other lifting machine ; (
- d)date of each examination made under subsection
(2)of the said section 35, and by whom it was carried out ; (e) particulars of any defect found at any such examination and affecting the safe working load and of the steps taken to remedy such defect.
