No. 73 of 1956. SOUTH CORK BOARD OF PUBLIC ASSISTANCE (HEALTH FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1956. The Minister for Health in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 45 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953) and Section 7 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947) hereby orders as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the South Cork Board of Public Assistance (Health Functions) Order, 1956. 2. In this Order " the principal order " means the South Cork Board of Public Assistance (Health Functions) Order, 1954 ( S.I. No. 163 of 1954 ). 3. This order shall come into operation on the 31st day of March, 1956. 4. The principal order shall be amended by— (
  4. a)the deletion of " cerebral palsy " in paragraph (
  5. b)of the definition of " specified institutional services " in Article 2 ; (
  6. b)the substitution of the Schedule to this order for the First Schedule to that order ; (
  7. c)the substitution of the following two paragraphs for paragraph 3 of the Second Schedule to that order : " 3. The General Institutional and Specialist Services Regulations, 1954 ( S.I. No. 100 of 1954 ), as amended by— (
  8. i)the General Institutional and Specialist Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1955 ( S.I. No. 47 of 1955 ) and (
  9. ii)the General Institutional and Specialist Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 43 of 1956 ). " 3A. Parts I and II of the Maternity and Child Health Services Regulations, 1954 ( S.I. No. 98 of 1954 ), as amended by— (
  10. i)the Maternity and Child Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1954 ( S.I. No. 158 of 1954 ) ; (
  11. ii)the Maternity and Child Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1955 ( S.I. No. 48 of 1955 ) and (iii) the Maternity and Child Health Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 44 of 1956 ) ; " and the substitution of the following paragraph for paragraph 5 of that Schedule : " 5. The General Medical Services Regulations, 1954 ( S.I. No. 102 of 1954 ), as amended by— (
  12. i)the General Medical Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1954 ( S.I. No. 159 of 1954 ) and (
  13. ii)the General Medical Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1955 ( S.I. No. 49 of 1955 ), with the modification that " the functional area of the local authority " shall be substituted for " county or county borough " in Article 9." SCHEDULE. PROVISIONS OF HEALTH ACT, 1953 (AS AMENDED BY THE HEALTH ACT, 1954 ) UNDER WHICH FUNCTIONS ARE TO BE PERFORMED BY JOINT ACTION. Section 14. Section 15 (in so far as it relates to the making available of specified institutional services and specified specialist services for persons entitled to avail themselves of such services). Sections 16 and 17 (in so far as they relate to the making available of specified institutional services and specified specialist services for persons entitled to avail themselves of such services and insofar as they may relate to the making available of medical services at clinics or dispensaries maintained by the Board). Section 26 (in so far as it relates to the making available of institutional services in an institution maintained by the Board). Section 54. Section 55. Section 56.
