No. 156 of 1957. HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1947 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1957. I, SEAN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and after due compliance with Section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows :— 1.—

(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1957.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 29th day of July, 1957. 2. The Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 228 of 1947 ), shall have effect as if— (
  1. a)the rates set out in the First Schedule and the Second Schedule were increased by seven and one-half per cent., and (
  2. b)the following Schedule were substituted for the Third Schedule : " Third Schedule Ref. No. Maximum Service Rates Rate £ s. d. 1 Use of 20 ton Weighbridge (
  3. i)Weighing of livestock, a sum not exceeding per hundredweight 0 0½ (
  4. ii)Weighing of manure, a sum not exceeding per lorry load 0 6 (iii) Weighing of sand and gravel, a sum not exceeding per lorry load 2 0 (
  5. iv)Weighing of other goods where the quantity to be weighed is 12 hundredweights or less than 12 hundredweights, a sum not exceeding per hundredweight 0 0½ (
  6. v)Weighing of other goods where the quantity to be weighed exceeds 12 hundredweights, a sum not exceeding per ton or part thereof 0 6 Provided, however that persons who undertake to do their own weighing may obtain a key of the weigh-house for a minimum period of three years subject to an annual fee, payable in advance each year, of a sum not exceeding 5 0 0 2 Use of Cranes (
  7. i)For coal, a sum not exceeding per ton or part thereof 1 0 (
  8. ii)For timber, a sum not exceeding per standard (2½ tons) 5 0 (iii) For all other cargo, a sum not exceeding per ton or part thereof 1 6" 3. The Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947, (Amendment) Order, 1955 ( S.I. No. 16 of 1955 ), is hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 15th day of July, 1957. (Signed) SEAN F.
