AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 168 of 1957. HARBOUR RATES (CORK PORT AND HARBOUR) ORDER, 1940 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1957. I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and after due compliance with Section 106 of that Act, hereby order as follows :— 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1940 (Amendment) Order, 1957.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 12th day of August, 1957. 2.
(1)The Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1940 ( S. R. & O. No. 390 of 1940 ), shall have effect as if— (
  1. a)the rates specified at reference numbers 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in Part I of the First Schedule were increased by sixty-five per cent., (
  2. b)the rates specified at reference numbers 2, 7 and 8 in Part I of that Schedule were increased by fifty per cent., and (
  3. c)the reference in Article 5 to an increase of fifty per cent. were a reference to an increase of one hundred and forty-seven and one-half per cent.
(2)The Harbour Rates (Cork Port and Harbour) Order, 1940 (Amendment) Order, 1941 ( S. R. & O. No. 561 of 1941 ), is hereby revoked and the references to that Order contained in the Harbour Rates (Cork Harbour) (Rates on Dogs) Order, 1945 ( S. R. & O. No. 79 of 1945 ), the Harbour Rates (Cork Harbour) (Rates on Chocolate and Cocoa) Order, 1948 ( S.I. No. 218 of 1948 ), and the Harbour Rates (Cork Harbour) (Rates on Steel Sheet and Residual Fuel Oil) Order, 1955 ( S.I. No. 70 of 1955 ), shall be construed as references to this Order. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 29th day of July,
