RATHDOWN AND WICKLOW PUBLIC ASSISTANCE DISTRICTS (ALTERATION OF BOUNDARIES) ORDER, 1957. The Minister for Local Government in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 7 of the Public Assistance Act, 1939 (No. 27 of 1939) as amended by section 68 of the Local Government Act, 1955 (No. 9 of 1955) hereby orders as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Rathdown and Wicklow Public Assistance Districts (Alteration of Boundaries) Order, 1957. 2. On the 1st day of November, 1957, that part of the Rathdown Public Assistance District consisting of the part of the County of Dublin added to the County of Wicklow by the Wicklow County (Extension of Boundary) Provisional Order, 1957 (as confirmed by the Local Government Provisional Order Confirmation Act, 1957 ), shall be detached from the Rathdown Public Assistance District and shall be added to the Wicklow Public Assistance District and thenceforward the said part shall be included in and shall form part of the Wicklow Public Assistance District and the boundaries of the said districts shall be altered accordingly. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Local Government this twenty-fifth day of October One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty-seven. PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Local Government. The effect of this Order is to alter the boundaries of Rathdown and Wicklow Public Assistance Districts as from 1st November, 1957. The alteration is consequential on the extension of the boundary of County Wicklow by the Wicklow County (Extension of Boundary) Provisional Order, 1957. The area added to County Wicklow by the latter order is transferred by this order from the Rathdown to the Wicklow Public Assistance Districts.
