The Minister for Social Welfare in pursuance of section 7 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1957 , (No. 21 of 1957), hereby orders as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1957 (Date of Commencement) Order, 1957. 2. The Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1957 , shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1958. This Order brings the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1957 , into operation as from the 1st January, 1958. This Act contains powers for the continuance of certain Social Welfare Services hitherto operated under Emergency Powers Orders, and also amends the Education (Provision of Meals) Acts, 1914 to 1930.
