EMERGENCY IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (No. 399) (SHIRTS) ORDER, 1957. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties Act, 1932 (No. 16 of 1932), as adapted in consequence of the enactment of the Constitution, hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 399) (Shirts) Order, 1957. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. Paragraph 3 of the Emergency Imposition of Duties (No. 253) Order, 1950 ( S.I. No. 94 of 1950 ), shall, as respects articles imported on or after the 10th day of May, 1957, have effect as if " having collars attached, which are made wholly or mainly of cotton fabric which is either knitted or cellular woven and " were deleted. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 3rd day of May, 1957. ÉAMON DE VALERA, Taoiseach. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order is to impose an additional Customs duty of 6/- each on such men's shirts, not exceeding 8/-, in value and of 4/- each on such boy's shirts, not exceeding 5/- in value, as are not already liable to additional Customs duty.
