AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 100 of 1958. LIMERICK HARBOUR COMMISSIONERS (ADDITIONAL LOCAL AUTHORITY MEMBERS) ORDER, 1958. WHEREAS the councils of the counties of Limerick and Tipperary (North Riding) have agreed to assist the Limerick Harbour Commissioners by guaranteeing, pursuant to section 7 of the Harbours Act, 1947 (No. 34 of 1947), repayment of the principal and payment of the interest of portion of a loan to be raised by the said Commissioners : AND WHEREAS the Minister for Industry and Commerce is of opinion that those councils should have representation in the membership of the said Commissioners : NOW, I, SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the power conferred on me by section 8 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), after consultation with the Minister for Local Government, hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Limerick Harbour Commissioners (Additional Local Authority Members) Order, 1958. 2. This Order shall have effect on and after the 7th day of July, 1960. 3. The councils of the counties of Limerick and Tipperary (North Riding) shall each appoint one additional local authority member of the Limerick Harbour Commissioners. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 21st day of April, 1958. SEÁN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order, which will have effect on and after the 7th July, 1960, empowers each of the councils of the counties of Limerick and Tipperary (North Riding) to appoint one additional local authority member of the Limerick Harbour Commissioners.
