SHELLFISH (REGULATION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1958. I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Lands, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1957 ), hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Shellfish (Regulation of Export) Order, 1958. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of December, 1958. 3. The export of shellfish save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), is hereby prohibited. 4. The Shellfish (Regulation of Export) Order, 1953 ( S.I. No. 159 of 1953 ) is hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal this 15th day of November, 1958. (Signed) ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Lands. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order prohibits the export of shellfish, save under licence, irrespective of destination. It supersedes an Order which applied to the export of shellfish otherwise than to Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
