AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 266 of 1958. GENERAL INSTITUTIONAL AND SPECIALIST SERVICES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1958. The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by Section 5 of the Health Act, 1947 (No. 28 of 1947), and sections 15 and 22 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953) (as amended by the Health Act, 1954 (No. 23 of 1954), the Health and Mental Treatment Act, 1957 (No. 16 of 1957) and the Health and Mental Treatment (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 37 of 1958)) hereby makes the following regulations :— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the General Institutional and Specialist Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1958. 2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 29th day of December, 1958. 3. In these Regulations : " the Principal Regulations " means the General Institutional and Specialist Services Regulations, 1954 ( S.I. No. 100 of 1954 ) ; " the Regulations of 1956 " means the General Institutional and Specialist Services (Amendment) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 43 of 1956 ). 4. The principal Regulations shall be amended by substituting " eight hundred pounds " for " six hundred pounds " in sub-article
(3)of article 8, in sub-article
(3)of article 11 and in sub-article
(3)of article
- The Principal Regulations shall be amended by substituting " eight hundred pounds " for " six hundred pounds ", " nine hundred pounds " for " seven hundred pounds ", " one thousand pounds " for " eight hundred pounds " and " one thousand one hundred pounds " for " nine hundred pounds " in sub-article
(1)of article
- Each reference in the Principal Regulations or in the Regulations of 1956 to Section 15 of the Health Act, 1953 (No. 26 of 1953), shall be construed as a reference to that section as amended by the Health and Mental Treatment (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 37 of 1958). 7.
(1)Each reference in the Principal Regulations or in the Regulations of 1956 to the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952), shall be construed as a reference to that Act as amended by the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 36 of 1958).
(2)" Social Welfare Act, 1952 (as amended) " shall be substituted for " Social Welfare Act, 1952 " in Form ISA in the Schedule to the Principal Regulations. These regulations make amendments in the regulations governing the General Institutional and Specialist Services arising from the alterations in the classes eligible for these services made by the Health and Mental Treatment (Amendment) Act, 1958 , and the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1958 .
