CONTROL OF IMPORTS (QUOTA No. 13) (WOVEN WOOLLEN AND SYNTHETIC AND ARTIFICIAL FABRICS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1958. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by the Control of Imports Acts, 1934 and 1937, hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) (Woven Woollen and Synthetic and Artificial Fabrics) (Amendment) Order, 1958. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 7th day of February, 1958. 3. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 or 1937), applies to this Order. 4. Part II of the Schedule (Inserted by the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) (Woven Woollen and Synthetic and Artificial Fabrics) (Amendment) Order, 1954 ( S.I. No. 227 of 1954 )) to the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935 ( S. R. & O. No. 59 of 1935 ), is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph (
  4. f)before " are brocade " of " are not more than fifty-six inches in width and ". GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 31st day of January, 1958. ÉAMON DE VALÉRA, Taoiseach. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of the amendment is to bring within the scope of the Control of Imports (Quota No. 13) Order, 1935, brocade and tapestry cloth which exceed 56" in width.
