No. 113 of 1960. BROADCASTING AUTHORITY (CONTROL OF INTERFERENCE) ORDER, 1960. I, MICHAEL HILLIARD, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12A (inserted by the Broadcasting Authority Act, 1960 (No. 10 of 1960)) of the Wireless Telegraphy Act, 1926 (No. 45 of 1926), hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Broadcasting Authority (Control of Interference) Order, 1960. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1960. 3. Radio Éireann shall have all powers appropriate for the investigation and detection of interference with wireless telegraphy apparatus for receiving only. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 27th day of May, 1960. MICHAEL HILLIARD, Minister for Posts and Telegraphs. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order enables Radio Éireann to investigate and detect causes of interference to broadcast receiving apparatus, and to take further steps to assist in the suppression of such interference.
