SOCIAL WELFARE (MODIFICATIONS OF INSURANCE) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1960. I, SEÁN MacENTEE, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and by section 12 of the said Act as amended by section 3 of the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1956 (No. 24 of 1956) hereby make the following Regulations with the sanction of the Minister for Finance: 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1960.
(2)The Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 and 1959, the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations, 1960 (No. 170 of 1960) and these Regulations shall be construed as one and may be cited collectively as the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 to
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 2nd day of January,
- The Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 (No. 236 of 1956) shall be amended by the substitution in paragraph (b) of sub-article
(2)of Article 4 of the words "one shilling" for the word "sixpence" and of the word "tenpence" for the word fourpence." SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations amend the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I. No. 236 of 1956 ) in regard to the rates of contributions payable in respect of the persons employed on foreign-going ships or on ships engaged in regular trade on foreign stations.
