(1)of section 18 of the Electoral Act, 1923 (No. 12 of 1923) as substituted by section 7 of the Electoral Act, 1960 (No. 43 of 1960) hereby orders as follows:—
- This Order may be cited as the Dáil Éireann General Election Order,
- The poll at the general election to be held as a consequence of the proclamation issued on 15th September, 1961, dissolving Dáil Éireann shall be taken in all constituencies on the 4th day of October,
- GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Local Government this fifteenth day of September, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-One. NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Local Government. EXPLANATORY MEMORANDUM. This Order fixes 4th October, 1961 as the day for the holding of a general election in consequence of the dissolution of Dáil Éireann.
