No. 218 of 1961. CENSORSHIP OF FILMS ACT, 1923 (AMENDMENT OF FEES) ORDER, 1961. I, OSCAR TRAYNOR, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 11 of the Censorship of Films Act, 1923 (No. 23 of 1923), and with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Censorship of Films Act, 1923 (Amendment of Fees) Order, 1961.
(2)The Censorship of Films Act, 1923 (Fees) Orders, 1955 and 1959, and this Order may be cited together as the Censorship of Films Act. 1923 (Fees) Orders, 1955 to 1961.
(3)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of October, 1961. 2. Paragraph 1 of the Schedule to the Censorship of Films Act, 1923 (Fees) Order, 1955 ( S.I. No. 4 of 1955 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of the following subparagraph for subparagraph (
- b)(inserted by the Censorship of Films Act, 1923 (Amendment of Fees) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 115 of 1959 ) "(
- b)in the case of any other film (not being, in the opinion of the Official Censor, of an educational nature), a fee of ½d. per foot of film". GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 29th day of September, 1961. OSCAR TRAYNOR. The Minister for Finance hereby sanctions the foregoing Order. This Order increases the amount of a certain fee charged for the censorship of films.
