HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1961. I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1961.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 23rd day of October, 1961. 2. The First Schedule to the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (S.R. & O., No. 228 of 1947), is hereby amended by— (
- a)the insertion in the first column thereof of "Goods in containers, flats or trailers", (
- b)the insertion in the second column thereof opposite the mention of "Goods in containers, flats or trailers" in the said first column of "per ton", (
- c)the insertion in the third column thereof opposite the mention of "Goods in containers, flats or trailers" in the said first column of "2 0", and (
- d)the insertion in the fourth column thereof opposite the mention of "Goods in containers, flats or trailers" in the said first column of "1 6". 3. Paragraph (
- a)of Article 2 of the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 138 of 1959 ), shall not apply in relation to the maximum goods rates to be charged by the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners in the case of goods in containers, flats or trailers. 4. Where the rate specified in the First Schedule to the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (S.R. & O., No. 228 of 1947), in respect of goods in containers, flats or trailers is chargeable on any goods, no other rate specified in the said Schedule shall be charged on those goods. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 9th day of October, 1961. ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order is to authorise the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners to charge a flat rate on all goods carried in containers, flats or trailers at Drogheda Harbour.
