the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7

1925), and section 1

the Garda Síochána Act, 1958 (No. 14

1958), with the sanction

the Minister for Finance and after due compliance with subsection

(2)

the said section 12, hereby order as follows : 1.—

(1)This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Pay and Allowances Order, 1961.
(2)The Garda Síochána Allowances Orders, 1947 to 1958, and this Order so far as it relates to the revocation

provisions contained in those Orders may be cited together as the Garda Síochána Allowances Orders, 1947 to 1961. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38

1937), applies to this Order. 3. The Garda Síochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 156

1958 ), shall, from the 21st day

December, 1960, have effect as if— (

  1. i)the rates and scales contained in the Schedule to this Order were substituted for the rates and scales contained in Article 4, (
  2. ii)the following paragraph were inserted after paragraph (c)
