No. 66 of 1961. BOROUGH OF WEXFORD (EXTENSION OF PLANNING DISTRICT) ORDER, 1961. The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers vested in him by section 21 of the Town and Regional Planning Act, 1934 (No. 22 of 1934) hereby declares and orders as follows :— 1. On and from the 1st day of April, 1961, the parts of the County Health District of Wexford described in the Schedule hereto shall for all the purposes of the Town and Regional Planning Act, 1934 (save as is by section 21 of the said Act otherwise provided) be added to and form part of the planning district which includes the Borough of Wexford. 2. This Order may be cited as the Borough of Wexford (Extension of Planning District) Order, 1961. SCHEDULE. Description of the parts of the County Health District of Wexford added to the planning district which includes the Borough of Wexford. 1. That part of the County Health District of Wexford situated between the boundary of the Borough of Wexford and a line drawn from the point where the Electricity Supply Board's 10 K.V. line intersects the boundary of the Borough of Wexford at the northern boundary of the townland of Newtown thence in a north-westerly direction along the line of the said 10 K.V. line to where it intersects the Farnogue Stream thence successively in north-easterly, northerly and easterly directions along the centre of the Farnogue Stream to the point where the Farnogue Stream enters the River Slaney and thence in an easterly direction along the right bank of the River Slaney to the point where it meets the boundary of the Borough of Wexford. 2. That part of the County Health District of Wexford situated between the boundary of the Borough of Wexford and a line drawn from the southern abutment of the bridge between the townland of Crosstown and the Borough of Wexford thence along the north-western side of the said bridge to the northern abutment of the said bridge at Crosstown thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary of the townland of Crosstown to Crosstown Lane thence along the centre of Crosstown Lane to the point where thesaid Lane meets the road leading to Castlebridge thence in a southerly direction along the centre of the road leading from Castlebridge to Ferrybank to the point where the said road meets the stream leading from the said road in the townland of Ardcavan thence along the centre of the said stream to the foreshore at Wexford Harbour thence in a south-westerly direction along the eastern boundary of the townland of Burgess and along the southeastern boundary of the townland of Tincone and along the southern boundary of the townland of Ferrybank to the northeastern abutment of the bridge between the townland of Ferrybank and the Borough of Wexford and thence along the southern side of the said bridge to the point where it meets the boundary of the Borough of Wexford at Commercial Quay. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order extends the planning district for the purposes of the Town and Regional Planning Act, 1934 which includes the Borough of Wexford by adding thereto the portions of the County Health District of Wexford described in the Schedule to the Order. The effect of the Order is to make Wexford Borough Council the district planning authority for the added areas.
