COUNTY MEATH (REGISTRARS' DISTRICTS) ORDER, 1962 I, PÁDRAIG Ó CINNÉIDE, An tArd-Chláraitheoir, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 18 of the Registration of Births and Deaths (Ireland) Act, 1863, and section 8 of the Registration of Marriages (Ireland) Act, 1863, hereby order as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the County Meath (Registrars' Districts) Order, 1962. 2. The Registrar's District of Ceannanus Mór and the Registrar's District of Kilskeer shall cease to exist on the date of the coming into operation of this Order. 3. The Ceannanus Mór Dispensary District as constituted by the County Meath (Dispensary Districts) Order, 1962 (S.I. 41 of 1962) shall be subdivided into two Registrars' Districts which shall be known as Ceannanus Mór No. 1 Registrar's District and Ceannanus Mór No. 2 Registrar's District. Ceannanus Mór No. 1 Registrar's District shall consist of the area shown on Part I of the Schedule hereto and Ceannanus Mór No. 2 Registrar's District shall consist of the area shown on Part II of the Schedule hereto. 4. This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of August, 1962. SCHEDULE PART I Description of Area to be known as Ceannanus Mór No. 1 Registrar's District. (
  4. a)The Electoral Division of Ballinlough comprising the townlands of Ballinlough Big, Ballinlough Little, Ballyhist, Kingsmountain, Seymourstown Black, and Smithstown. (
  5. b)The Electoral Division of Castlekeeran comprising the townlands of Balgree, Clonasillagh, Lisnagon, Pottlebane, Pottlereagh, Carnaross, Castlekeeran, Castlepole, Killaconin or Jonesborough, Meenlagh and Woodpole. (
  6. c)The Electoral Division of Loughan comprising the townlands of Ballynamona, Clonfinnan, Cornasaus, Curragh, Moat, Mountainpole, Rathbrack, Cabragh, Cloonagrouna, Derver, Feegat and Rahendrick. (
  7. d)The Electoral Division of Maperath comprising the townlands of Baltrasna, Dulane, Knockaranny, Knockglass, Mahonstown, Oakleypark or Lawrencetown, Turkstown, Williamstown, Wilmount, Mullaghey, Normanstown or Norbrinstown and Maperath. (
  8. e)The Electoral Division of Staholmog comprising the townlands of Balreask Emlagh, Gravelstown, Reask, Castletownmoor, Drakerath, Staholmog and St. John's Rath. (

  12. h)That portion of Ceannanus Mór Urban District north of a line drawn from a point on the Urban boundary on the Virginia Road via the rere of the houses on the north side of the Virginia Road to the junction of Virginia Road, Fair Green, Moynalty Road and Carrick Street, thence along the centre of Carrick Street to the junction of Carrick Street, Maudlin Street and Castle Street, thence via the rere of the houses on the south side of Castle Street, John Street, Headfort Place and the Navan Road to a point on the Urban boundary on the Navan Road, and including the houses on the north side of Carrick Street and the houses on both sides of Castle Street, John Street, Headfort Place and the Navan Road to the Urban boundary. PART II Description of Area to be known as Ceannanus Mór No. 2 Registrar's District. (
  13. i)The Electoral Division of Kilskeer comprising the townlands of Boltown, Carrick, Johnstown, Kilskeer and Robinstown. (

EXPLANATORY NOTE The effect of this Order is to vary the division of County Meath into Registrars' Districts by the abolition of the Registrars' Districts of Ceannanus Mór and Kilskeer as heretofore constituted and the subdivision into two Registrars' Districts, to be known as Ceannanus Mór No. 1 Registrar's District and Ceannanus Mór No. 2 Registrar's District, of Ceannanus Mór Dispensary District as constituted by the County Meath (Dispensary Districts) Order, 1962 (S.I. 41 of 1962), which had the effect of amalgamating the Ceannanus Mór and Kilskeer Dispensary Districts.
