OIL POLLUTION OF THE SEA (CONVENTION COUNTRIES) (GHANA, ICELAND, KUWAIT AND LIBERIA) ORDER, 1962 I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, being satisfied that the governments of Ghana, Iceland, Kuwait and Liberia have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, hereby in exercise of the powers conferred on me by subsection
(1)of section 19 of the Oil Pollution of the Sea Act, 1956 (No. 25 of 1956), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S. I. No. 125 of 1959 ), order as follows :— 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Oil Pollution of the Sea (Convention Countries) (Ghana, Iceland, Kuwait and Liberia) Order, 1962.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 27th day of September,
- It is hereby declared that the governments of Ghana, Iceland, Kuwait and Liberia have accepted the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil,
- GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 13th day of September,
- ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power. EXPLANATORY NOTE This Order declares that the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution of the Sea by Oil, 1954, has been accepted by Ghana, Iceland, Kuwait and Liberia.
