No. 44/1962 - Comhairle na Nimheanna Order, 1962. S.I. No. 44/1962 - Comhairle na Nimheanna Order, 1962. AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 44 of 1962. COMHAIRLE NA NIMHEANNA ORDER, 1962. The Minister for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 2 and 7 of the Poisons Act, 1961 (No. 12 of 1961) hereby orders as follows :— 1. This Order may be cited as the Comhairle na Nimheanna Order, 1962. 2. In this Order— " the Council " means Comhairle na Nimheanna ; " the Minister " means the Minister for Health. 3. The Council shall be established as on and from the sixteenth day of March, 1962. 4.—
(1)The term of office of the chairman of the Council shall be three years.
(2)The term of office of the ordinary members of the Council shall be three years. 5.—
(1)The Council shall meet— (
- a)at such times as they may be requested by the Minister to meet ; (
- b)at such times as may be determined by the Council, and (
- c)upon a requisition to call a meeting of the Council, signed by at least six members of the Council, being presented to the secretary to the Council.
(2)Meetings of the Council shall be called by notice issued by the secretary to the Council in accordance with the directions or standing orders of the Council. 6. The quorum for a meeting of the Council shall be six. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health this fifteenth day of March, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-two. The Order establishes Comhairle na Nimheanna, the statutory advisory Council on poisons, and determines a number of other matters associated with its establishment.
