HAUGHEY, Minister for Justice, with the approval of the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 14 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), hereby make the following regulations: 1.—
(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Garda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1962.
(2)The Principal Regulations and these Regulations may be cited together as the Garda Siochana (Promotion) Regulations, 1960 and
- In these Regulations " the Principal Regulations " means the Garda Síochána (Promotion) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 203 of 1960 ).
- Regulations 5, 8 and 10 of the Principal Regulations are hereby amended by the substitution in each case of the following subparagraph for subparagraph (b) of paragraph
(1): " (b) if he joined the Garda Síochána on or after the 1st day of June, 1959—he has passed the Irish Proficiency Test." GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 1st day of June,
