I, CAOIMHGHÍN Ó BEOLÁIN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 , (No. 11 of 1952) and section 28A of the said Act (inserted therein by section 10 of the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1960 (No. 25 of 1960)), hereby make the following Regulations:— 1.—

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1963.
(2)The Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1962, and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to
  2. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 3rd day of January,
  4. The following Schedule shall be substituted for the Schedule to the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 274 of 1960 ) as amended by article 3 of the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1962 ( S.I. No. 136 of 1962 ):— " SCHEDULE Reduced rates of old age (contributory) pension where contribution conditions are partially satisfied. Average number of contributions paid or credited per contribution year in the relevant period. Reduced weekly rate at which pension is payable. s.d. 42 go 47 47 0 36 to 41 44 0 30 to 35 41 0 24 to 29 38 0 " GIVEN under my Official Seal this Sixth day of December, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty Three. These Regulations amend the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1962, which provide for payment of reduced rates of old age (contributory) pensions where the contribution conditions are partially satisfied, for the purpose of increasing these reduced rates of pension to 47/-, 44/-, 41/- and 38/- from 42/6d., 40/-, 37/6d. and 35/- respectively as from 3rd January,
