I, PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2 of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1961 (No. 14 of 1961), hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1961 (Commencement of Section 17) Order, 1963. 2. The 16th day of May, 1963, is hereby fixed as the day on which section 17 of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1961 (No. 14 of 1961), shall come into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 10th day of May, 1963. PATRICK SMITH, Minister for Agriculture. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order brings into operation on 16th May, 1963, section 17 of the Pigs and Bacon (Amendment) Act, 1961 , which provides that the status of prima facie evidence hitherto attaching to certain certificates given by the Secretary of the Pigs and Bacon Commission shall attach instead to certificates given by the chief officer of the Commission.
