NEWSPAPERS (SPECIAL SERVICE FOR CONVEYANCE BY POST OFFICE MAIL VANS) AMENDMENT (No. 1) WARRANT, 1964. I, SÉAMAS Ó RIAIN, Minister for Finance, on the representation of the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs as testified by his official seal affixed hereto, and in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 14 and 82 of the Post Office Act, 1908, hereby order as follows : 1.—

(1)This Warrant may be cited as the Newspapers (Special Service for Conveyance by Post Office Mail Vans) Amendment (No. 1) Warrant, 1964.
(2)This Warrant shall come into operation on the 1st day of July,
  2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Warrant.
  3. In this Warrant " the Principal Warrant " means the Newspapers (Special Service for Conveyance by Post Office Mail Vans) Warrant, 1957 ( S.I. No. 37 of 1957 ).
  4. Regulation 4 of the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution of " 22 lb." for " 15 lb.".
  5. The Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Schedule to this Warrant. SCHEDULE Per annum £ s. d. In case the newspaper bundles sent to the news agent are bundles each not exceeding 3 lb. in weight 6 0 0 In case the newspaper bundles sent to the news agent are bundles each exceeding 3 lb. and not exceeding 6 lb. in weight 9 0 0 In case the newspaper bundles sent to the news agent are bundles each exceeding 6 lb. and not exceeding 11 lb. in weight 12 10 0 In case the newspaper bundles sent to the news agent are bundles each exceeding 11 lb. and not exceeding 15 lb. in weight 17 0 0 In case the newspaper bundles sent to the news agent are bundles each exceeding 15 lb. and not exceeding 22 lb. in weight 24 0 0 GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 27th day of May,
