I, CAOIMHGHÍNM Ó BEOLÁIN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sub-section
(4)of section 5 and sub-section
(2)of section 8 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 (No. 28 of 1964) hereby order as follows :—
- This Order may be cited as the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 (Appointed Day) Order,
- The 1st day of November, 1964, is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 5 , 8 , 9 and 10 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 , shall come into operation. GIVEN under my Official Seal this 25th day of September,
- CAOIMHGHÍN Ó BEOLÁIN, Minister for Social Welfare. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order brings into operation on 1st November, 1964, Sections 5 , 8 , 9 and 10 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1964 , (No. 28 of 1964) which provide for the payment of increases of old age pensions, both contributory and non-contributory, in respect of qualified children.
