AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 102 of 1965. FLUORIDATION OF WATER SUPPLIES (WICKLOW) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1965. The Minister for Health, having complied with subsection
(4)of Section 2 of the Health (Fluoridation of Water Supplies) Act, 1960 (No. 46 of 1960) and having consulted with the Minister for Local Government hereby makes the following Regulations:—
- These Regulations may be cited as the Fluoridation of Water Supplies (Wicklow) (Amendment) Regulations,
- The Fluoridation of Water Supplies (Wicklow) Regulations, 1962 ( S.I. No. 77 of 1962 ) are hereby amended as follows:— (a) by the substitution of " 14 " for " 13 " in sub-article
(2)of Article 4. (b) by the addition to Article 4 of the following sub-article: "
(3)The Council of the Urban District of Wicklow shall, as agent for the Council, perform the following acts in relation to the fluoridation of water in the public water supply referred to in paragraph 15 of the First Schedule to these Regulations: (
- a)the provision, installation and maintenance of equipment for fluoridation; (
- b)the making of arrangements for the addition of fluorine to the water, and (
- c)the testing of the fluorine content of the water to which fluorine has been added." (
- c)by the addition to the First Schedule of the following paragraphs:— " 14. The Rathdrum piped water supply. 15. The piped water supply provided by Wicklow Urban District Council." GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Minister for Health this 30th day of April, One Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty-five. DONOGH O'MALLEY, Minister for Health. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations require Wicklow County Council to arrange for the fluoridation of the Rathdrum and Wicklow U.D.C. public piped water supplies (in addition to the public piped water supplies specified in the original Regulations) and require Wicklow Urban District Council, acting as agent for Wicklow County Council, to perform certain acts in relation to the fluoridation of the Wicklow Urban District Council public piped water supply.
