SEANAD ELECTORAL (CHARGES OF RETURNING OFFICERS IN UNIVERSITY CONSTITUENCIES) ORDER, 1965. I, JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 15 of the Seanad Electoral (University Members) Act, 1937 (No. 30 of 1937), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Seanad Electoral (Charges of Returning Officers in University Constituencies) Order, 1965. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937), applies to this Order. 3. Subparagraph (
- b)of paragraph
(1)of Part A of the Schedule to the Seanad Electoral (Charges of Returning Officers in University Constituencies) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 211 of 1961 ), as amended by paragraph (b) of Article 3 of the Seanad Electoral (Charges of Returning Officers in University Constituencies) (No. 2) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 277 of 1961 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of "£4" for "£3 5s. 0d.". GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 1st day of July, 1965. JOHN LYNCH, Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order increases the amount which may be disbursed by Returning Officers in University Constituencies, per 100 electors or fraction thereof exceeding one half on the register of electors, in respect of clerical and other assistance, including the counting of the votes and miscellaneous outlay, in connection with an election to Seanad Éireann.
