AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 173 of 1965. SOCIAL WELFARE (OLD AGE (CONTRIBUTORY) PENSION) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS, 1965. I, CAOIMHGHÍN Ó BEOLÁIN, Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and section 28A of the said Act (inserted therein by section 10 of the Social Welfare (Amendment) Act, 1960 (No. 25 of 1960)), hereby make the following Regulations:— 1.—

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1965.
(2)The Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1963, and these Regulations may be cited collectively as the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1965. 2.—In these Regulations, "the Principal Regulations" means the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 ( S.I. No. 274 of 1960 ). 3.—
(1)The Schedule to the Principal Regulations (inserted by the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) (Amendment) Regulations, 1963 ( S.I. No. 247 of 1963 )) is hereby amended by the substitution in the second column of 47/6d. for each of the rates in that column.
(2)This article shall come into operation on the 6th day of August, 1965. 4.—
(1)The following Schedule shall be substituted for the Schedule to the Principal Regulations as amended by article 3 of these Regulations:— "SCHEDULE Reduced rates of old age (contributory) pensions where contribution conditions are partially satisfied. Average number of contributions paid or credited per contribution year in the relevant period. Reduced weekly rate at which pension is payable. s. d. 42 to 47 57 0 36 to 41 54 0 30 to 35 51 0 24 to 29 48 0 "
(2)This article shall come into operation on the 7th day of January,

These Regulations amend the Social Welfare (Old Age (Contributory) Pension) Regulations, 1960 to 1963, which provide for payment of reduced rates of old age (contributory) pension where the contribution conditions are partially satisfied, for the purpose of increasing all these reduced (weekly) rates, viz., 47/-, 44/-, 41/- and 38/-, to 47/6 with effect from 6th August, 1965, and for the purpose of further increasing these rates to 57/-, 54/-, 51/- and 48/- respectively as from 7th January,
