MILK PRODUCTS (REGULATION OF IMPORT) ORDER, 1966. I, CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 57
(2)of the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby order as follows : 1.—
(1)This Order may be cited as the Milk Products (Regulation of Import) Order, 1966.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of July,
- The importation of any articles specified in Part II of the Schedule to this Order is hereby prohibited save under and in accordance with a licence in that behalf issued under the Dairy Produce Marketing Act, 1961 (No. 1 of 1961). SCHEDULE PART I In this Schedule " the United Kingdom " means Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. PART II
- Butter.
- Cheese, whether raw or processed.
- Dried or powdered milk (including dried or powdered milk which has been treated by way of processing or the addition of any other substance) with the exception of : (a) infant or invalid foods made up in containers for sale by retail, (b) a consignment in the case of which the quantity of dried or powdered milk imported does not exceed five pounds in weight, (c) dried or powdered milk contained in products referred to at tariff heading numbers 19.02 (C)

- ii)and 23.07 (B) in the Schedule to the Imposition of Duties (No. 159) (Customs Duties and Form of Customs Tariff) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1966 ), being products which were produced or manufactured in and consigned from the United Kingdom. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 29th day of June, 1966. CHARLES J. HAUGHEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order prohibits the import, save under licence, of butter, cheese and dried or powdered milk, with certain exceptions in the case of dried or powdered milk.
