HIRE-PURCHASE AND CREDIT SALE ORDER, 1966. I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 6 of the Hire-Purchase (Amendment) Act, 1960 (No. 15 of 1960), and after consultation with the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Hire-Purchase and Credit Sale Order, 1966. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 31st day of August, 1966. 3. The Hire-Purchase and Credit Sale Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 155 of 1965 ), shall not apply in relation to— (
4. a)television receiving sets (including portable sets and sets designed for use in road vehicles), whether or not assembled and whether or not complete or parts thereof, television aerials, cathode ray tubes or television conversion units, or (

The purpose of this Order is to remove television receiving sets and mechanically propelled bicycles from the scope of the restrictions imposed by the Hire-Purchase and Credit Sale Order, 1965.
