HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1966. I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows : 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1966.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 26th day of April,
- In this Order " the Principal Order " means the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 228 of 1947 ).
- The Principal Order shall have effect as if— (a) the following were substituted for the First Schedule : "FIRST SCHEDULE. Maximum Goods Rates Commodity

- b)for the rates of one shilling, sixpence, twopence, five shillings, and twopence, set out in the Second Schedule, there were substituted the rates of one shilling and fivepence, ninepence, four pence, seven shillings, and fourpence, respectively, (

- iv)Weighing of other goods where the quantity to be weighed is 12 hundredweights or less than 12 hundredweights, a sum not exceeding per hundredweight 0 1 Ref. No.

- i)For coal, a sum not exceeding per ton or part thereof 1 0 (

- For the use of any waregouse or shed for each day or part thereof exceeding the period authorised by the bye-laws of the harbour authority for the time being in force a sum not exceeding per ton 0 4
- For the use of any wharf, pier or quay for any goods (except round native timber, including pit props), for period exceeding the period authorised by the bye-laws of the harbour authority for the time being in force:— (a) for each week or part thereof for the first three weeks, a sum not exceeding per ton 0 3 (b) For each week or part thereof after the first three weeks, a sum not exceeding per ton 0 6 Ref. No.

For the use of any wharf, pier or quay for round native timber including pit props for export for each week or part thereof after the expiration of the period authorised by the bye-laws of the harbour authority for the time being in force, a sum not exceeding per ton 0 2 4. Use of Coal Depot— (
- i)for every ton of coal, up to 2,000 tons per annum deposited, a sum not exceeding 0 6 (
- ii)for every additional ton of coal, up to 4,000 tons per annum deposited, a sum not exceeding 0 4 (iii) for every ton of coal, above 4,000 tons per annum deposited, a sum not exceeding 0 2 ", 4. Where a rate specified at reference number 15 in the First Schedule (inserted by this Order) to the Principal Order is chargeable on any goods, no other rate specified in that Schedule shall be charged on those goods. 5. The following are hereby revoked :— (
- a)Article 2 of the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1957 ( S.I. No. 156 of 1957 ), (
- b)the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (Amendment) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 138 of 1959 ), (
- c)the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1961 ( S.I. No. 227 of 1961 ). GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 12th day of April, 1966. ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power. EXPLANATORY NOTE. The effect of this Order is to authorise the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners to charge revised maximum goods and tonnage rates, and to introduce a new service charge at the Port of Drogheda.
