AmendmentsLeasuithe I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 12 of the Police Forces Amalgamation Act, 1925 (No. 7 of 1925), with the sanction of the Minister for Finance, hereby order as follows : 1. This Order may be cited as the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1966. 2. The Interpretation Act, 1937 (No. 38 of 1937) applies to this Order. 3. This Order shall— (
  4. a)as respects the rate for the Commissioner set out in the First Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1964, (
  5. b)as respects the rates and scale for the Deputy Commissioner, the Assistant Commissioner and Surgeon set out in the First Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of July, 1963, and (
  6. c)as respects the rates and scale set out in the Second Schedule hereto, be deemed to have come into operation on the 1st day of February, 1964. 4. The Garda Siáochána Pay (No. 2) Order, 1958 ( S.I. No. 156 of 1958 ), shall have effect as if the rates and scales contained in the Schedules to this Order were substituted for the relevant rates and scales (inserted by the Garda Síochána Pay Order, 1964 ( S.I. No. 54 of 1964 )) contained in Article 4.
