LABOUR (TRANSFER OF DEPARTMENTAL ADMINISTRATION AND MINISTERIAL FUNCTIONS) ORDER, 1967. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 6

(1)of the Ministers and Secretaries (Amendment) Act, 1939 (No. 36 of 1939), hereby order as follows: 1.
(1)This Order may be cited as the Labour (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1967.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 30th June,
  2. The reference in section 8 of the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933 (No. 46 of 1933), as modified by the Social Welfare (Assistance Decisions and Appeals) Regulations, 1953 ( S.I. No. 9 of 1953 ), to a deciding officer or to any other officer of the Minister for Social Welfare authorised by that Minister to take and receive statutory declarations of the kind specified in the section shall be construed as including a reference to any officer of the Minister for Labour authorised by the Minister for Social Welfare, after consultation with the Minister for Labour, to take and receive statutory declarations of the kind aforesaid.
  3. The references in section 23 of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958), and section 8 of the Hire-Purchase (Amendment) Act, 1960 (No. 15 of 1960), to officers of the Minister for Industry and Commerce shall be construed as including references to officers of the Minister for Labour selected by the Minister for Industry and Commerce after consultation with the Minister for Labour. This order provides for enabling the Minister for Social Welfare to authorise officers of the Minister for Labour to take and receive statutory declarations of the kind specified in section 8 of the Unemployment Assistance Act 1933 (No. 46 of 1933) as modified by the Social Welfare (Assistance Decisions and Appeals) Regulations 1953 ( S.I. No. 9 of 1953 ) and for enabling officers of the Minister for Labour to be selected to act as officers of the Minister for Industry and Commerce for the purposes of section 23 of the Prices Act, 1958 (No. 4 of 1958) and section 8 of the Hire-Purchase (Amendment) Act, 1960 (No. 15 of 1960).
