FOOT AND MOUTH DISEASES (RESTRICTION OF IMPORT OF VEHICLES, MACHINERY AND OTHER EQUIPMENT) ORDER (AMENDMENT), 1967. I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 3 and 30 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Foot and Mouth Disease (Restriction of Import of Vehicles, Machinery and other Equipment) (Amendment) Order, 1967. 2. Article 3 of the Foot and Mouth Disease (Restriction of Import of Vehicles, Machinery and other Equipment) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 243 of 1967 ), shall be construed and have effect as if the following were inserted after paragraph (b): "(
- c)any pedal cycle or any motor car, lorry or truck, omnibus, motor cycle or other mechanically propelled vehicle, machinery or equipment (other than the machinery or equipment mentioned in paragraph (a)) which is not unused, (
- d)any caravan, trailer or other vehicle which is not unused and which is designed to be drawn either by a mechanically propelled or other vehicle or by a horse, (
- e)any tyre or tyre case which is not unused and which is suitable for any vehicle, machinery or equipment mentioned in the foregoing paragraphs of this Article." The effect of this Order is to extend the provisions of the Foot and Mouth Disease (Restriction of Import of Vehicles, Machinery and other Equipment) Order, 1967, to include a prohibition on the importation, from Great Britain, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, except under licence, of (
- a)pedal cycles, used motor cars, lorries, trucks, omnibuses, motor cycles, or other mechanically propelled vehicles, machinery and equipment, (
- b)used caravans, trailers and horse drawn vehicles and (
- c)used tyres.
