RIVERS OWENMORE AND OWENDUFF (TIDAL WATERS) ORDER, 1967. I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 7 of the Fisheries (Consolidation) Act, 1959 (No. 14 of 1959), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 83 of 1965 ), hereby, with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance, order as follows : 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Rivers Owenmore and Owenduff (Tidal Waters) Order, 1967.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 16th day of February,
  2. It is hereby declared that the tidal waters specified and defined in the Schedule to this Order shall be special tidal waters for the purposes of the Fisheries Acts, 1959 to
  3. SCHEDULE. The tidal waters of the rivers Owenmore and Owenduff in the No. 102 or Bangor District, that is to say, the waters of the river Owenmore from a straight line drawn across the river, at right angles to its course, from the southernmost point of the townland of Goolamore to the townland of Ballina, and from the boundary between the tidal and freshwater portions of the river Owenduff or Ballycroy, to the mouth of the conjoined rivers Owenmore and Owenduff (the said boundary having been defined by Definition No. D.137 made by the Minister for Agriculture on the 15th day of December, 1941, and the said mouth having been defined on the 25th day of April, 1865, by the Special Commissioners appointed under the Salmon Fishery (Ireland) Act, 1863) except the waters of the river Owenmore abutting on the townlands of Ballina and Tullaghaunashammer and extending to the centre line of the river.
