AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 113 of 1968. BRUCELLOSIS IN CATTLE (MOVEMENT CONTROL) (AMENDMENT) (No. 2) ORDER, 1968. I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, it appearing to me to be necessary for the purpose of the progressive eradication of brucellosis in cattle, do hereby, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Diseases of Animals Act, 1966 (No. 6 of 1966), order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) (Amendment) (No. 2) Order, 1968.
(2)The collective citation the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Orders, 1967 and 1968, shall include this Order.
(3)This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of June, 1968. 2. The Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Order, 1967 ( S.I. No. 62 of 1967 ), shall be amended as follows: (
  1. a)Article 2 is hereby amended by the insertion after the definition of "Brucellosis (Certified) Herd" of the following definition— "'certified herd' means a herd which is in the area within the meaning of the Brucellosis in Cattle (Disease-Free Area) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 112 of 1968 ), in respect of which brucellosis certified cards have been issued by the Minister and in relation to which there is not for the time being in force a restriction on movement under Article 7 of that Order;"; (
  2. b)Article 5 is hereby amended— (
  3. i)by the insertion in paragraph
(1)(
  1. b)(
  2. i)after "Brucellosis (Certified) Herd" where that expression first occurs of ",from a certified herd", and (
  3. ii)by the insertion in paragraph
(2)(
  1. a)after "Brucellosis (Certified) Herd" where that expression first occurs of "or from a certified herd, as may be appropriate,"; and (
  2. c)Article 7
(2)(a) is hereby amended by the insertion after "Brucellosis (Certified) Herd" where that expression first occurs of ",from a certified herd". This Order by amending the Brucellosis in Cattle (Movement Control) Order, 1967, provides for the movement of eligible animals from certified herds in the Brucellosis Free Area both into the Clearance Area and into herds within the Area under permit.
