CORK TRAFFIC (ONE-WAY STREETS) TEMPORARY RULES, 1968. I, PATRICK CARROLL, Commissioner of the Garda Síochána, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 89
(3)of the Road Traffic Act, 1961 (No. 24 of 1961), and with the consent of the Minister for Local Government, hereby make the following temporary rules in respect of the area comprising the county borough of Cork:—
- These rules may be cited as the Cork Traffic (One-Way Streets) Temporary Rules,
- These rules shall come into operation on the 2nd day of February,
- Each street (or portion of a street) mentioned in column
(2)of the First Schedule to these rules shall be a one-way street at all times. 4. Traffic using a street (or portion of a street) mentioned in column
(2)of the said First Schedule shall travel in the direction indicated in column
(3)of that Schedule opposite the mention in the said column
(2)of that street (or portion of a street), and in no other direction. 5. Traffic approaching a street junction mentioned in column
(2)of the Second Schedule to these rules, by an approach route mentioned in column 3 of that Schedule opposite the mention of that junction in the said column
(2), shall not turn right at that junction. 6. Traffic approaching a street junction mentioned in column
(2)of the Third Schedule to these rules, by an approach route mentioned in column
(3)of that Schedule opposite the mention of that junction in the said column
(2), shall not proceed straight ahead across that junction. 7. Traffic approaching a street junction mentioned in column
(2)or the Fourth Schedule to these rules, by an approach route mentioned in column
(3)of that Schedule opposite the mention of that junction in the said column

- Bridge Street From south to north, i.e. from St. Patrick's Bridge towards St. Patrick's Hill.
- Clontarf Bridge From north to south, i.e. from Clontarf Street towards Albert Quay.
- Clontarf Street From north to south, i.e. from Brian Boru Bridge towards Clontarf Bridge.
- Coburg Street, from its junction with Leitrim Street to its junction with Pine Street. From east to west, i.e. from Bridge Street towards Pine Street.
- Connell Street From south to north, i.e. from Lapp's Quay towards Oliver Plunkett Street Lower.
- Cook Street From north to south, i.e. from St. Patrick's Street to South Mall.
- Cotter's Quay From south to north, i.e. from George's Quay towards Union Quay.
- Deane Street, from its junction with Oliver Plunkett Street Lower to the entrance of C.I.E. Bus terminal. From south to north, i.e. from Oliver Plunkett Street Lower towards Brian Boru Bridge.
- Deane Street, from the entrance of C.I.E. bus Terminal to its junction with Brian Boru Bridge. From north to south, i.e. from Brian Boru Bridge towards Clontarf Bridge.
- Fisher's Lane From west to east, i.e. from St. Patrick's Street towards North Street.
- George's Quay From east to west, i.e. from South Terrace towards Sullivan's Quay.
- Harley's Street From south to north, i.e. from St. Patrick's Quay towards McCurtain Street.
- Hibernian Road From west to east, i.e. from Anglesea Street towards Rockboro' Road.
- Lapp's Quay, from its junction with Clontarf Bridge to its junction with Parnell Place. From east to west, i.e. from Clontarf Bridge towards Parnell Bridge.
- Leitrim Street, from its junction with Pine Street to its junction with Coburg Street. From north to south, i.e. from Pine Street towards Coburg Street.
- McCurtain Street From west to east, i.e. from Bridge Street towards Brian Boru Street.
