No. 249 of 1968. IMPOSITION OF DUTIES (NO. 175) (TUFTED MATERIAL) ORDER, 1968. The Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1 of the Imposition of Duties Act, 1957 (No. 7 of 1957), and section 22 of the Finance Act, 1962 (No. 15 of 1962), hereby order as follows: 1. This Order may be cited as the Imposition of Duties (No. 175) (Tufted Material) Order, 1968. 2. This Order shall come into operation on the 10th day of December, 1968. 3. The Imposition of Duties (No. 159) (Customs Duties and Form of Customs Tariff) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 132 of 1966 ), is hereby amended by— (
- a)the insertion in the first column of the Schedule after tariff heading number 58.04 (B)
(2)of the following— " (2A) Tufted material", and (b) the insertion in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh columns of the Schedule at tariff heading number 58.04 (B) (2A) (inserted by this Order) of "(a)", "40% or 2s. 0d. per sq. yd.*", "40% "40% "18.7% or or or 2s. 0d. 2s. 0d. 11.2d. per sq. yd.*", per sq. yd.*", per sq. yd.*", and " 18.7% or 11.2d. per sq. yd.*", respectively. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 3rd day of December, 1968. SEÁN Ó LOINSIGH, Taoiseach. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order provides for the imposition of a customs duty of 40% or 2s. 0d. per sq. yd. (full, preferential and special preferential) and 18.7% or 11·2d. per sq. yd. (United Kingdom) on certain tufted material.
