SOCIAL WELFARE (MODIFICATIONS OF INSURANCE) (AMENDMENT) (NO. 2) REGULATIONS, 1968 The Minister for Social Welfare, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Social Welfare Act, 1952 (No. 11 of 1952) and by section 12 of the said Act as amended by section 8 of the Social Welfare (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1968 (No. 31 of 1968) hereby makes the following Regulations:— 1.

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 1968.
(2)These Regulations shall be included in the expression " the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 to 1968 ".
  1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the 6th day of January,
  3. Sub-article
(1)of Article 5 of the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 (No. 236 of 1956) is hereby amended by the addition of the following sub-paragraph:— " ( h ) employment in voluntary hospitals to which grants are paid from the Hospitals Trust Fund in recoupment of revenue deficits or employment by voluntary organisations which are providing district nursing services where, in either employment, the person employed is a pensionable person for the purposes of the Voluntary Hospitals' Superannuation Scheme, 1969, and is employed in a permanent capacity and the terms and conditions of his employment provide for payments during illness on a basis which is considered adequate by the Minister."   2. JOHN LYNCH, Acting Minister for Finance. EXPLANATORY NOTE. These Regulations amend the Social Welfare (Modifications of Insurance) Regulations, 1956 ( S.I.
