No. 76/1968 - Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 (Commencement) Order, 1968 (Revocation) Order, 1968. AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 76 of 1968. ELECTRICITY (SPECIAL PROVISIONS) ACT, 1966 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 1968 (REVOCATION) ORDER, 1968. WHEREAS by the Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 (Commencement) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1968 ), made under section 1
(2)of the Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 (No. 13 of 1966), the Government appointed the 26th day of March, 1968 as the day on which that Act should come into operation; AND WHEREAS that Order is now in force; AND WHEREAS it is enacted by section 1
(4)of that Act that whenever and so often as the Government are satisfied, at a time when an order under the said section 1
(2)is in force, that that Act should cease to be in operation, the Government shall by order revoke the order under the said section 1
(2)and that thereupon that Act shall forthwith cease to be in operation; AND WHEREAS the Government are satisfied that that Act should cease to be in operation; NOW, THEREFORE, the Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 1
(4)of the said Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 , hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 (Commencement) Order, 1968 (Revocation) Order,
- The Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 (Commencement) Order, 1968 ( S.I. No. 67 of 1968 ), is hereby revoked. GIVEN under the Official Seal of the Government, this 2nd day of April,

EXPLANATORY NOTE This Instrument revokes the Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 (Commencement) Order, 1968 which brought into operation the Electricity (Special Provisions) Act, 1966 .
