HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1969. I, ERSKINE H. CHILDERS, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows : 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1969.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 15th day of July,
  1. In this Order " the Principal Order " means the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 228 of 1947 ).
  2. The Principal Order shall have effect as if— (a) the following were substituted for the Third Schedule : " THIRD SCHEDULE Ref. No. Maximum Service Rates Rate

  1. i)Weighing of all goods : per tonne or part thereof 1 0 (
  2. ii)Annual fee to those who undertake to do their own weighing of a commodity shipped through the port 15 0 0 (iii) Additional annual fee to those who undertake to do their own weighing for a second or subsequent commoidity in excess of one shipment through the port : per commodity 10 0 0 2 Use of Cranes. For all goods : per tonne for part thereof 2 0 3 Use of Grabs. For all goods : per tonne or part thereof 6 Use of Hoppers. For all goods : per tonne or part thereof 3 and (
  3. b)the following were substituted for the Fourth Schedule : " FOURTH SCHEDULE Ref. No. Other Maximum Rates Rate

(3)£ s. d. 1 For the use of any warehouse, shed or covered storage area for each day or part thereof (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays) exceeding the period authorised by the bye-laws of the harbour authority for the time being in force : per cubic metre 2 0 2 For the use of any wharf, pier, quay or other uncovered area for each day or part thereof exceeding the period authorised by the bye-laws of the harbour authority for the time being in force— (
  1. a)for each day or part thereof for the first 14 days (Sundays and Bank Holidays excluded) per square metre 6 (
  2. b)for each day or part thereof after the first 14 days (Sundays and Bank Holidays excluded) per square metre 4 0 3 Use of coal depot : per tonne deposited therein 6 4. Paragraphs (

  4. d)of Article 3 of the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 78 of 1966 ), shall cease to have effect. GIVEN under my Official Seal this 1st day of July, 1969. ERSKINE H. The effect of this Order is to authorise the Drogheda Harbour Commissioners to charge revised maximum service and other rates at Drogheda Harbour.
