HARBOUR RATES (DROGHEDA HARBOUR) ORDER, 1970. I, BRIAN LENIHAN, Minister for Transport and Power, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 104 of the Harbours Act, 1946 (No. 9 of 1946), and the Transport, Fuel and Power (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions) Order, 1959 ( S.I. No. 125 of 1959 ), and after due compliance with section 106 of the said Act, hereby order as follows: 1.

(1)This Order may be cited as the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1970.
(2)This Order shall come into operation on the 13th day of July,
  1. In this Order "the Principal Order" means the Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1947 (S.R. & O., No. 228 of 1947).

  2. a)On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel (except as hereinafter provided) entering the harbour for the purpose of shipping, transhipping or discharging cargo, or cargo and passengers, a sum not exceeding ... ... ... ... ... 0 3 0 (
  3. b)On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel entering the Harbour for the purpose of embarking or disembarking passengers or on an excursion trip, or through stress of weather, or for repairs, or for salvage operations, or for a supply of coal or stores for ships consumption only and not discharging or loading cargo, a sum not exceeding ... ... ... ... ... ... 0 2 0 (
  4. c)On every ton of the net register tonnage or of half the gross tonnage whichever is the greater of every vessel remaining or lying in the Harbour after the expiration of a period of six consecutive weeks, a sum for each week not exceeding ... ... ... 0 1 0 2.   1. Where a rate specified at reference number 15 in the First Schedule (inserted by this Order) to the Principal Order is chargeable on any goods, no other rate specified in that Schedule shall be charged on those goods.
  2. The Harbour Rates (Drogheda Harbour) Order, 1966 ( S.I. No. 78 of 1966 ), is hereby revoked. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 29th day of June,
