FISHERY HARBOUR CENTRE (CASTLETOWNBERE) ORDER, 1970. I, NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2
(1)of the Fishery Harbour Centres Act, 1968 (No. 18 of 1968), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Fishery Harbour Centre (Castletownbere) Order,
- This Order shall come into operation on the 1st day of April,
- The area defined in paragraph 4 of this Order is hereby declared to be a fishery harbour centre and is referred to in this Order as Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre.
- That part of Castletownbere Harbour and of the land adjoining it within the outer margin of the red line on the map annexed hereto is hereby defined as the area of Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre.
- All the property (real and personal) in Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre of the council of the county of Cork and all rights and liabilities of that council in its capacity as managing authority for Castletownbere Harbour in or relating to Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre are hereby transferred to the Minister.
- The council of the county of Cork, in its capacity as managing authority for Castletownbere Harbour, shall cease to exercise or carry out any powers, functions or duties in relation to Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 23rd day of March,
- NEIL T. BLANEY, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order declares and defines the area of Castletownbere Fishery Harbour Centre and transfers to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries on and from 1st April, 1970, all the property, rights and liabilities of the Council of the County of Cork within the defined area. It also provides that the Council of the County of Cork as managing authority for Castletownbere Harbour ceases to exercise or carry out any powers, functions or duties in relation to the Centre.
