HOUSING AUTHORITIES (LOAN CHARGES CONTRIBUTIONS AND MANAGEMENT) REGULATIONS, 1967 (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1972. The Minister for Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 5 and 44 of the Housing Act, 1966 , (No. 21 of 1966) with the consent of the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations :— 1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Authorities (Loan Charges Contributions and Management) Regulations, 1967 (Amendment) Regulations, 1972. 2. Article 4
(2)of the Housing Authorities (Loan Charges Contributions and Management) Regulations, 1967 ( S.I. No. 71 of 1967 ) is hereby amended by the deletion therefrom of the words " after five " and by the substitution in paragraph (b) of " 3% " for " 2%".
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of July,

- EXPLANATORY NOTE. These regulations enable a local authority to allow a local authority tenant a deduction from the market or replacement value of a local authority dwelling of 3% for each year during which he has been continuously in occupation of the dwelling or of any other dwelling of a local authority subject to a maximum deduction of 30% in built-up areas and 45% in other areas. The regulations apply to dwellings in purchase schemes approved on or after 1st July,
