PRIZE BONDS (DRAWS FOR PRIZES) REGULATIONS, 1972. I, SEOIRSE Ó COLLA, Minister for Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 23 of the Finance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act, 1956 (No. 47 of 1956), hereby make the following regulations : 1.

(1)These Regulations may be cited as the Prize Bonds (Draws for Prizes) Regulations, 1972.
(2)The Prize Bonds (Draws for Prizes) Regulations, 1958 and 1971, and these Regulations may be cited together as the Prize Bonds (Draws for Prizes) Regulations, 1958 to
  2. Regulation 4 of the Prize Bonds (Draws for Prizes) Regulations, 1958 ( S.I. No. 60 of 1958 ), is hereby amended— (a) by the substitution in subparagraph (a) of paragraph
(1)of "seven" for "six" and "`index letters'", and "`hundreds of thousands'" for "`index letter and hundreds of thousands'", and (b) by the substitution for subparagraph (b) of the said paragraph
(1)of the following paragraph: "(
  1. b)there shall be counters bearing numbers concealed from view when the counters are closed, counters bearing index letters concealed from view when the counters are closed and a counter which bears neither a number nor an index letter and is identical when it is closed with the other counters when they are closed;", and (
  2. c)by the substitution for subparagraph (
  3. c)of the said paragraph
(1)of the following paragraph: "(
  1. c)in the container designated 'index letters' there shall be contained closed counters one of which is the counter bearing neither a number nor an index letter and the others of which consist of such number as may be appropriate (having regard to the prize bonds which have been issued before the draw) of counters bearing respectively either a single index letter different from the single index letter borne on any other counter in the container or a combination of index letters different from the combination of index letters borne on any other counter in the container, and in each of the remaining containers there shall be contained ten closed counters bearing respectively the numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9;", and (
  2. d)by the substitution in subparagraph (
  3. e)(
  4. iv)of the said paragraph
