AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 295 of 1972. COMMITTEES OF AGRICULTURE (ALLOWANCES TO MEMBERS) (AMENDMENT) RULES, 1972. I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the Agriculture (Amendment) Act, 1948 (No. 24 of 1948), as amended by section 7 of the Agriculture (Amendment) Act, 1958 (No. 17 of 1958), as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 ), hereby make the following rules : 1.
(1)These Rules may be cited as the Committees of Agriculture (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1972.
(2)The Committees of Agriculture (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1959 to 1969, and these Rules may be cited together as the Committees of Agriculture (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1959 to 1972. 2. In these Rules "the Rules of 1969" means the Committees of Agriculture (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1969 ( S.I. No. 70 of 1969 ). 3. The Committees of Agriculture (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1959 ( S.I. No. 100 of 1959 ), are hereby amended— (
- a)by the substitution in Rule 2 (inserted by the Rules of 1969) for "the 1st day of August, 1968", "twenty-five shillings" and "thirty-five shillings" of "the 1st day of April, 1972", "one pound sixty new pence" and "two pounds twenty-five new pence", respectively, and (
- b)by the substitution in Rule 3 (inserted by the Rules of 1969) for "the 1st day of August, 1968" and "thirty-five shillings" of "the 1st day of April, 1972" and "two pounds fifty new pence", respectively, GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 30th day of November, 1972. These Rules prescribe the amount of the allowances payable to Members of Committees of Agriculture in respect of attendance at meetings of the Committee or of an approved sub-Committee.
