I, PÁDRAIG FAULKNER, Minister for Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 6

(4)of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1947 (No. 1 of 1947), as amended by Section 5 of the Vocational Education (Amendment) Act, 1962 (No. 28 of 1962), hereby make the following rules: 1. These rules may be cited as the Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1972. 2. These rules shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of April, 1972. 3. In these rules "The Rules of 1969" means the Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) (Amendment) Rules, 1969 ( S.I. No. 3 of 1969 ). 4. The Vocational Education Committees (Allowances to Members) Rules, 1963 ( S.I. No. 114 of 1963 ), are hereby amended by— (
  1. a)the substitution of "one pound sixty new pence" for "twenty-five shillings" (inserted by the Rules of 1969) in Rule 3 (a), (
  2. b)the substitution of "two pounds twenty-five new pence" for "thirty-five shillings" (inserted by the Rules of 1969) in Rule 3 (b), and (
  3. c)the substitution of "two pounds fifty new pence" for "thirty-five shillings" (inserted by the Rules of 1969) in Rule 4. PÁDRAIG Ó FACHTNA.
