No. 27 of 1973. DEMERSAL FISH (HANDLING, STORAGE AND TRANSPORT) REGULATIONS, 1973. I, JOHN FAHEY, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 8
(1)of the Sea Fisheries Act, 1952 (No. 7 of 1952), and the Fisheries (Transfer of Departmental Administration and Ministerial Functions Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 83 of 1965 ) (as adapted by the Agriculture (Alteration of Name of Department and Title of Minister) Order, 1965 ( S.I. No. 146 of 1965 )), and the Fisheries (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1970 ( S.I. No. 123 of 1970 ), and after due compliance with section 8
(2)of the said Act, hereby order as follows:
- These Regulations may be cited as the Demersal Fish (Handling, Storage and Transport) Regulations,
- These Regulations shall come into operation on the 1st day of February,
- In these Regulations "the Principal Regulations" mean the Demersal Fish (Handling, Storage and Transport) Regulations, 1967 ( S.I. No. 223 of 1967 ).
- The Principal Regulations are hereby amended by— ( a ) the substitution of "master" for "skipper" in Regulation 7 (c) ( b ) the substitution for the Schedule thereto of the following: SCHEDULE. Type or Species Size Weight

These Regulations bring the grading weights of certain species of fish into line with EEC regulations.
