AmendmentsLeasuithe S.I. No. 358 of 1973. LAND REGISTRY AND REGISTRY OF DEEDS (HOURS OF BUSINESS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1973. I, PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Justice, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 126
(4)of the Registration of Title Act, 1964 (No. 16 of 1964), hereby order as follows:
- This Order may be cited as the Land Registry and Registry of Deeds (Hours of Business) (Amendment) Order,
- Article 2 of the Land Registry and Registry of Deeds (Hours of Business) Order, 1964 ( S.I. No. 164 of 1964 ), is hereby amended by the insertion in paragraph
(1)after "working day" of "and any other working day which is a day appointed to be a public holiday", and the said paragraph
(1), as so amended, is set out in the Table to this section. TABLE
(1)The Land Registry and the Registry of Deeds shall be open to the public daily, except on Saturdays, Sundays and the following days, namely, St. Patrick's Day (or the day kept as a holiday in lieu thereof), Good Friday, Easter Monday, the first Monday in June, the first Monday in August, Christmas Day, St. Stephen's Day (or the day kept as a holiday in lieu thereof) and the next following working day and any other working day which is a day appointed to be a public holiday. GIVEN under my Official Seal, this 31st day of December, 1973. PATRICK COONEY, Minister for Justice. EXPLANATORY NOTE. This Order prescribes the addition of "and any other working day which is a day appointed to be a public holiday" to the days on which the offices of the Land Registry and Registry of Deeds will be closed.
